The Sheridan Hendley Mysteries spin off of the Cold Creek Mysteries with the major characters of Sheridan, Brett, Maddie, Kim, Marty, and Max continuing. A few new characters are highlighted here:
Madison (Maddie) McMann: Now a teenager, Maddie is very interested in boys, especially Alex, singing, hiking, and happy to be living with her dad and Sheridan.
Dora Chantilly: Older woman who grew up in Clover Hill, dated Blake Buchanan, and returned when her grandmother died and left her the house and Clover Hill Pets & Paws dog rescue. A bit quirky, she doesn't always make sense, but she has a good heart.
Alex Champlin: Maddie's first friend in Clover Hill, sings duet with Maddie. Her first boyfriend.
Blake Buchanan: The patriarch of the powerful Buchanan family with connections across the state of Virginia, previous Mayor of Clover Hill, "close friend" of Mrs. Chantilly.
James Fabry: Partner to Brett McMann on major cases, cynical in his perspective, always hungry. Fabry is direct and not always socially appropriate.
